Thoughts

I sit here more then a month that you are gone and time seems to have stopped moving for me. It feels like I just talked to you yesterday and in that same breathe I miss you so much that it hurts. You have definitely earned your break though and I am grateful that you are not having to suffer a long drawn out battle. The words of kindness and love on this page are the further proof of what a special person you truly have been and are just overwhelming, so much love. You have touched so many people with your kindness and that beaming smile, I am so glad that I get these traits from you because this is the legacy you leave behind and that I will try every day of my life to carry on in your honor. We are all missing you dad, your smile and your laughter, but selfishly that's on us, you deserve your break, and now you have it. So I'd like to say rest in peace papa but instead I will say peacefully be restful while you are not enjoying your break and partying like it's St Patricks Day! I love you and miss you daddy, so very much.

Heaven got another angel. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to one of the strongest, unselfish & loving man known as “Daddy Don” & “Pop”. An extraordinary man that beat the odds time & time again, fighting whatever he was faced with. Unfortunately, Covid got the best of him & he lost the battle. So we said goodbye as best we could in these trying days by taking him to Jones Beach Field 10 (one of his fav spots) during sunset. Until we meet again Pop, you are so loved & will be in our hearts forever. And hopefully you will keep that shirt buttoned appropriately & “go light” on the cologne! Love you always. Jules kiss kiss!

It is hard to find words to describe the loss of Daddy Don. I am so sorry for all our loss as this is a huge loss to all. I knew Don was special from the moment I met him in 9th grade. Always a smile on his handsome face. He made everyone who walked through his door feel at home and welcome. Such a kind man with a beautiful soul. He was loved by us all and he loved us in return. I’ve always admired the relationship he and Kelli have. It is truly beautiful and special. I will always remember Daddy Don with a smile as it is impossible to think of him without smiling 😊 Love you FB xoxo
